As cross as I am with Nickelodeon's Animation and their overall self-reliance on unoriginality... I am hoping for the future
What I mean by that is, of course, their upcoming Animated shows, whenever they do come out. Mainly Loud House which will be coming out sooner rather than later, and Sky Rat.
My main complaint in a rant a few days ago was Nickelodeon lacking any sort of Originality with theirt programming, on top of that, lack of good writing and overall caring. I looked to Harvey Beaks as the best and most original show both Animated and Overall Nickelodeon has, due to their self reliance on third party content and ideas which have been done to death.
Though Ladybug and Cat Noire isn't their idea and wasnt made by them, I hope this is the third party product that can actually help them, mainly due to the fact if the CGI Version succeeds, the Anime Version will be shown somewhere and I want to see that. But more importantly, two big shows for Nickelodeons future are Loud House and Sky Rat.
I'm not entirely sure if Sky Rat will still be a series, it may just be a movie now. In any case Craig Bartlett will be using this as a hopes to really jumpstart Hey Arnold again, so my hopes for it succeeding and the overall quality of it are very high. Craig is an amazing creator with an amazing mind, and I'm hoping Sky Rat brings back not only what made Nickelodeon original movies great but Nickelodeon Animation itself.
Along with that, Loud House with what has been shown, shows good potential. Though the toilet humor jokes are present in the previews, there is such a wide and diverse cast of different age ranges and personality, there are near limitless stories and interactions you can have with the cast. With some good heart which I've seen from the previews, good voice cast, and not bad jokes, Loud Louse is a show I'm hoping can succeed so maybe Breadwinners can finally just die already and this can replace it. Even if Loud House is a mediocre show it'd be better than that trash...
Though Pinky Malinky isn't giving me much in terms of what I've seen of it... I also hope Wayside is good, I've heard people say it is from the online shorts. So that could be another solid show that comes down the pipeline if it can succeed in a longer format.
Overall, Nickelodeon as I've said fails in many aspects of the creative side, but there are good things, POSSIBLY, for them in the future at least on the Animated side. If we can add to the strtength of Harvey Beaks and even PGBC which is at least better than Breadwinners and Sanjay and Craig, Nickelodeon could finally start getting some stable, and good animated shows again, and maybe help qwell some of the hatred that they constantly get for the shit shows existing and them constantly being blithering morons.
Nickelodeon needs something, and they need it soon, because 2015 has been a crippling year for them especially...
